A Day in Perlita's Eyes

A Day in Perlita's Eyes
*Alarm goes off* Oh it's time to wake up and see Yesenia get ready for school. Thank God it's a Friday though, so I don't have to hear that loud noise anymore. But I'm just going to lay in this comfortable bed until I have to leave her room. I don't understand why she doesn't let me stay in her room while she's at school. I don't mess with anything, sometimes I go potty on the floor but I just want to leave her a present when she comes home.
So Yesenia is almost ready for school and she's askin
g me if I need to go potty, and I just stare back at her. I don't feel like getting up I'm just really lazy right now. But then she gets mad at me because I'm not getting up, so I try to calm her down by wagging my tail and doing some cute moves, that always works with her. I have her around my little claw :) so then now she has to go to school so she makes me leave her room and she shuts the door behind me. I watch her walk off and she tells me bye and that she loves me and gives me and my sisters kisses to.
I'm really bored with Yesenia gone and my grandma, Maria, took me outside to go potty and I just played in the grass and searched everywhere for n
ew things to see. I didn't find anything interesting today, but my fur sure did get dirty from the rain. So now my grandma leaves to go to work and then me and my sisters are all alone. I'm really bored so I try to play with Mika, I pull her tail and jump on her, but she's always to lazy to play, she'll only play with me when she's hyper. And Bam-Bam is just always laying down waiting for grandma to come home.
Man I sure do need to go potty but no one is here to let me out, and I'm to scared to go out the doggy door to the garage. I'll just potty on the pamper so I don't get in trouble when they get home.
I hear something and Bam-Bam is barking like crazy and she goes out to the garage. I get on the side table in the living room and look around the corner to see who it is. Mika is just waiting on the floor, she looks little from where I'm at. I keep looking to see who it is, with my neck stretched real far out. It's Yesenia!! I start moving my little feet but don't know how to react because I'm so excited to see her! She starts talking to all of us in that cute voice she does, which gets us even more excited! I start barking at her and crying because I'm so spoiled. She tells me to come here so I run off the couch and run towards her and scratch her legs so she'll pick me up. Oh she brought company, let me tell them hi to!
What's that smell?!?!?! I smell food..they're about to eat their lunch! I want some so bad, but I never get any yummy human food unless Yesenia is in a good mood. But I'm going to keep begging until she gives me some. I always get on Yesenia's nerves when I do that though, oh well. So I keep scratching her leg and crying and staring at her with my sad eyes, and finally she gives me just a little bit. But Yesenia is very fair, she gives all the us some food, not just one of us.
So lunch is over and Yesenia has to go back to school. I follow her to the door because I love following her everywhere, she's my hero :) So we just lay on the couch and wait for Yesenia to get out of school, I look out the window and sometimes I see weird things or cars go by. It keeps me entertained.
Bam-Bam starts barking that means someone's here. I get on the table again and stretch my little head to go see who it is. And it's Yesenia coming back from school. She goes to her room and I climb up on her bed with this little ramp Yesenia made us. It's really fun, she's so nice. She probably just did it because she was tired of picking me up to get on the bed. But anyways, I'm on the bed barking at her to pick me up and give me some kisses. She finally picks me up and gives me kisses and then I calm down. She puts me back down and I just lay down on my side of the bed and just rest with her. Sometimes we even take naps together after school. It's real nice.
So I'm just laying on the bed and Yesenia always likes to bother me while I'm sleeping. But I don't mind she gets bored sometimes, and I'm here to entertain her. Like I'll just be laying there and she'll just poke me or grab me and play with me. But I love the attention she gives me. It makes me feel loved.
So it's getting dark outside and on the weekends Yesenia usually hangs out with her friends, so I have to stay here all alone :( but when she comes back I'm always in her bed waiting for her. Then I get all excited and bark at her and she tells me to be quiet. So I listen and wait for her to get ready for bed. And she lays down and then we both just fall asleep and then the day starts all over again :)

Media

I think the media does put attention on the wrong thing sometimes. The media notices a lot of negative things happening in the world instead of all the positive stuff, just because it makes a better story.

Man falls 30 feet saving suicidal woman

An Allentown man saved a suicidal woman's life but suffered extensive arm fractures when they fell 30 feet from the roof of a Lehigh Valley personal care facility on Monday.

As they fell, he maneuvered himself under her, so he hit the concrete first, allowing the woman to suffer only injuries so minor she was able to walk away, according to a relative.

Robert E. Smith Jr., an Allentown School Board member, was working as an attendant at Mount Trexler Manor in Coopersburg, when word came a 20-year-old female patient had climbed out onto a fire escape and was headed toward the roof of the three-story building.

"My nephew was the first one to get out there. He was closest to the location," said Thomas Katchisin, recalling the account Smith gave visitors at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

"He knew the patient. He began to talk to her," said Katchisin, 59, an Edison, N.J., retiree. ". . . She was definitely threatening to jump. . . . She went to go and he lunged forward to try and stop her, and she grabbed onto his clothing and pulled him over with her."

"As Robert tells it, this all took place over the span of a few moments," Katchisin said.

As they fell, "he put himself between her and the ground . . . using himself to break the fall," the uncle said.

"That's the nature of the type of person he is," Katchisin said.

Smith, 48, a married father of three and a grandfather of three, hit facing down, hitting his left arm, then his head and his right arm as he rolled, Katchisin said.

Smith shattered bones in both arms, and gashed his forehead, but suffered no apparent brain or spinal injuries.

The woman, confirmed as suicidal by Saucon Township police, reportedly suffered a fracture or two to a finger and a toe.

With two black, swollen eyes, Smith resembles a prize fighter, Katchisin said.

Initial surgeries cleaned out bone fragments, and plates and screws were inserted, he said.

The surgeon told family members that despite doing thousands of operations, he's never seen anyone who lived after such severe injuries, Katchisin said.

Smith will need "multiple surgeries, so they cannot cast him yet," the uncle said. ". . . It's going to be a slow process. There's only so much they can do at a time."

Months of rehabilitation lie ahead for Smith, who can't be sure he'll regain full use of his arms again, Katchisin said.

A call to Mount Trexler Manor requesting comment was not immediately returned this morning.

Smith served as school board president at times while being a member since 2003, and was once appointed to city council for a year, according to the Allentown Morning Call.

Senior Poem

My senior year is coming to an end
As I look back at all that has happened
I will never forget all the good times I had
Even all the sad times that brought me down
Through all my years, I had the best of friends
That kept me lifted and staying strong
While it gets closer to say goodbye
I get nervous to leave them all
I know that I still have a lot ahead of me
And I can't wait to conquer it all
The main thing that keeps me going
Is the future that is set for me

House

I would be really mad if the bank took my house away and I was paying the bills on time! I would probably go to the bank and get everything worked out asap. I would get a lawyer and sue! lol but it can happen to anybody so yeah it probably could happen to me.
